It was held in Brussels between the 24 and the 25 of March 2015 the meeting of the Central Committee (C.C.) of the Conference of European Churches (CEC) in which they were taken decisions for the framework of years 2016, 2017 and 2018.
They were examined in detail the targets, the working mechanisms and its the economical viability. It was also decided that all of its actions would be presented to the member churches and to public. In addition, the C.C examined the various proposals for the calculation of the annual financial contribution of the member churches but still did not take any decision concerning this topic, something that will be done in the upcoming meeting in Strasburg in June.
The C.C. was also informed by its General Secretary for his activities and of the activities of CEC in general for the period between December 2014 and March 2015. A similar presentation was made by its president bishop Christopher Hill regarding his recent visit in Ukraine which is in a severe crisis due to the civil war. The members of C.C. wished that the crisis will end and that a peace agreement will be prolonged. The Church of Cyprus was represented by bishop of Neapolis Porfyrios.
